Expand the present now

The business world is like a tank crushing the customer faster than shielded from competition. We are all suppliers and customers of each other, each with its own urgency. The only challenges the better good. There's always someone drinking from the same source and waste time perfecting a product, it means being late to market? Is it just us or has accelerated the time? Our here and now means this week . For many , here is the door into the house, an island whose inhabitants do not invest in the future, except on their own. Chained to the desires, if not succumb to satisfy. Whether the life is ephemeral, the disposal is provided as part of the cycle. No time to discern whether it's conditioning or option. Improved technology has brought rapid adaptability and reward, catapulted the short-term vision and inhibit us from thinking in the future. Rapid obsolescence leads to the prior art and woe is us if it does not follow the pace of change.

Maybe humanity needs to rethink its notion of time. The civilization has lasted ten thousand years. We are neither pioneers nor revolutionary, we are in the middle and we owe much to those who preceded us. Civilizations and empires rose and fell, leaving a trail of progress and convergence. The acceleration of knowledge in the past two centuries does not make us better than the first human who planted their seeds instead of eating them. They included time in their thinking and we were the beneficiaries. What has been preserved and has reached us that we shall never allow the lower grades of knowledge. However, it seems to have forgotten our responsibility to which we add to the inheritance.

The challenge is to change the way our mind works, a culture of immediacy to a long-term vision.
